Susan St. Clair Roper, MD, is a 1980-graduate of The Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Her postgraduate training includes her internal medicine internship (1980-1981) and dermatology residency (1981-1984) served at The Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Roper served as Chief Resident in her senior year with the Department of Dermatology at Emory. After receiving the prestigious Dermatology Foundation Research Award sponsored by Revlon in 1984, she went on to conduct a one-year research fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine (1984-1985). Dr. Roper completed her undergraduate education at Stetson University in Deland, Florida. She attained board certification in dermatology with the American Board of Dermatology. Furthermore, she is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, and the Florida Society of Dermatology. Dr. Roper is a past President, Board Member, and Surgeon of the Year for 2006 for the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons.
